Privacy notice

This page describes everything betondarts.co.uk does with personal data. It is short because the site does very little: it serves one page, runs a simulation in your browser, and has one form.

The simulation collects nothing

The match engine, the checkout finder, the odds converter and the calculators all run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into them is transmitted anywhere, stored anywhere, or visible to us. There is no request to the server while you use them, which you can confirm in your browser's network tab.

What the alerts form collects

If you fill in the sign-up form, and only then, we store:

• Your email address — so we can send you the one email the form promises.
• What you said you were interested in — so that email is relevant.
• The fact that you ticked the 18-or-over and consent box — this is the record that we had your permission, which we are obliged to be able to show.
• A one-way hash of your IP address — not the address itself. It is hashed with a secret key so it can be compared with itself for abuse prevention but cannot be turned back into an address, by us or by anyone who obtained the file.
• Your browser's user-agent string — the same abuse-prevention purpose.
• The date and time.

The lawful basis is consent, given by that tick. You can withdraw it at any time and we will delete the record, not merely flag it.

Who else sees it

• Postmark (ActiveCampaign, USA) sends the notification email to us and any email to you. They process the address in order to deliver the message.
• Migadu (Switzerland) hosts the mailbox that receives it.
• Bunny.net (Slovenia) serves this page as a CDN and sees the ordinary request data any web server sees — IP address, user agent, the URL requested.

That is the entire list. There is no analytics provider, no advertising network, no tag manager, no social plugin and no affiliate tracker, because there is nothing to affiliate with.

Server logs

The origin server records requests in the ordinary way, including IP addresses, and those logs rotate and are deleted on a schedule. They are used to keep the site working and to investigate abuse, and for nothing else.

How long we keep it

Sign-up records are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until the list is closed and the email that was promised has been sent, whichever comes first. We do not sell, rent, share or trade the list, and it will never be used to market a bookmaker to you.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, withdraw consent, or object to what we are doing with it. Email hello@betondarts.co.uk and we will act on it. There is no form to fill in and no identity hoop to jump through beyond replying from the address concerned.
